The Department of structural Engineering is committed to impart latest knowledge and quality education related to Structural Engineering. The Department of Structural Engineering is one of the biggest departments of MCE, NUST in terms of the faculty and UG/PG teaching/research activities. Structural Engineering is the trunk of Civil Engineering. Department of Structural Engineering is vibrant department in Military College Of Engineering Risalpur .The Department has established its strong reputation by developing National and international links and has the faculty known in Pakistan and around the Globe. Core/basic courses of structure engineering provide basic level education essentially required for a Civil Engineer. Whereas advance level courses in the areas being offered as elective courses provide opportunity to the students to major in a particular area. The curriculum is regularly revised to impart the latest knowledge to the students focusing on latest trends including modeling of structures on structural engineering Soft wares. We have no doubt, that our graduates will be the torch bearers in the profession and are fully capable to face the current challenges. Lectures are delivered by the faculty in the classrooms using state of the art teaching aids. Laboratory tests follow the lectures and are conducted in the laboratories under well trained, very experienced staff and under the direct supervision of respective faculty. Most of the courses require learning and using of different software packages related to Structural Engineering thus developing computer skills in the students to make them proficient in handling different problems in the practical life. Our labs are equipped with the latest equipment that allows students to synchronize themselves with the methodologies currently followed around the world. The Department is committed to train its students for leadership in the engineering fields and to equip them with latest knowledge to help them to perform their duties efficiently. Academic Courses: All the courses being taught at MCE conform to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) standards and are accredited on regular basis.
