Vision & Mission

The mission statement of NUST School of Natural Sciences (SNS) is to produce international quality human resources in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as well as  conduct international quality research in these field. This has been started in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics and Chemistry at the PhD level. Mathematics at the undergraduate level has recently been started as well and is in its third year to provide high quality of undergraduate for MPhil and PhD programs. While BS Programme has been started since September, 2014.

In the next phase we are hoping to start a BS programme in Chemistry and later a research programme in experimental Physics at both levels when labs have been developed.

The National University of Sciences and Technology enjoys a very good reputation among the engineering universities of the country and has been declared as the best engineering university of the country.

In the modern world one cannot think of any significant progress in research and development in engineering fields without having a strong base in Mathematics, Physics and  Chemistry. In the developed countries, the role of Mathematics in the solution of industrial and financial problems is increasing every day. In our country, although some universities have reasonably strong Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry departments, unfortunately their involvement in problems related to the industrial world is almost missing. NUST, having a strong engineering base through its various schools of excellence, hopes to bridge this gap through SNS.
