Profile
Dr. Mubasher Jamil completed B.Sc. in 2001 from the University of Punjab, Lahore and M. Sc. (Mathematics) in 2004 from the QuaidiAzam University, Islamabad. He obtained Ph.D. (Mathematics) from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan in 2010. He joined NUSTSchool of Natural Sciences (SNS) soon after finishing Ph.D. in 2010 as Assistant Professor. During 201011, he visited twice the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy as a High Energy Junior Guest Scientist. From Feb. 2012 till Feb. 2013, he worked as a Foreign Visiting Professor at the Department of Physics, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan. He has published more than 100 research papers in impact factor journals and 2 books in the field of General Relativity and Cosmology. He is also an active referee for many ISI scientific journals. He has been in the organizing committees of two international conferences on physics as well. In 2011, he was awarded the prestigious Dr. Raziuddin Siddiqi Prize (Gold Medal) in Mathematics from the Pakistan Academy of Sciences for excellence in research. In the 2011 and 2012, he was selected as CategoryA scientist by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, Islamabad and received the Research Productivity Award. He became the Young Affiliate Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Italy in 2012. He was selected as a member of Global Young Academy (GYA) Germany in 2012. He is a lifetime member of Pakistan Physical Society and the National Academy of Young Scientists, Pakistan.
