According to the study report “Value Chain analysis of Solar PV in Pakistan” by German Solar Energy Association and GIZ Pakistan, Pakistan has a huge Photovoltaics (PV) potential and all the necessary conditions for its implementation that support its development. However, there is a lack of specific knowledge and expertise relating to PV among individuals.


As per National Skills Strategy, NAVTEC 2009-2013, there is a substantial need for skilled workers in Pakistan in the areas of Renewable Energy, Clear Energy, and Energy Efficiency. Upgrading skills to enhance the productivity of our labor force would contribute greatly towards increasing our global competitiveness and efficiency of our domestic industry.​

A: You enter through GATE 10 of NUST from Kashmir Highway which comes after the Police Line Traffic Signal and receive a pass from the reception and then reach to USPCASE-E building opposite NICE near Habib Bank

Q: What does USPCAS-E stand for?

A: USPCAS-E stands for USAID Pakistan Center of Advance Studies in Energy. It is a very prestigious institute running MS and PhD programs in Energy at NUST. It boasts a purpose built energy center equipped with state of art Renewable energy labs and faculty.

Q: Will I get certificate and what is its recognition in the market.

A: You will receive a certificate from USPCAS-E NUST. NUST is a chartered University having recognition in Pakistan.

Q: How you can help in my Job?

A: We will send your CV to Solar Companies in Pakistan upon your willingness.

Q: Who are the trainers and what is their accreditation?

A: Trainers are qualified and accredited. Master trainer is Engr. Faiz Bhutta who has trained more than 2000 persons in Pakistan and has got TOT (trainer of the Trainees) from RENAC Berlin and is master trainer from GIZ Pakistan.

Q: Will training be practical or theoretical and how much portion is practical?

A: First two days will be theoretical class based training and the next three days will be design and practical based. For training separate solar system has been installed.

Q: Which department in NUST is responsible for training?

A: USPCAS-E is responsible for this training.

Q: Can I get training later if I miss current chance?
