Dr. Hamid Jabbar is a Mechatronics Engineer with more than 12 years of industrial and academic experience. Dr. Hamid did his Bachelors in Mechatronics Engineering from College of E&ME in 2002 (The first batch of Mechatronics Engineers in Pakistan). He was part of the first team from NUST for the ABU-ROBOCON robot contest in Japan (2002), which also won the Toyota AWARD.

He worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at NESCOM, Islamabad from Feb 2002 to July 2013. His work was related to the design, development and reverse engineering of aerospace mechatronics systems.

He completed his MS in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Myongji University of South-Korea in 2006 and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul South-Korea in Feb 2017.

Before joining NUST, he served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, South-Korea.  His main job responsibility was to work as a Team leader for the project titled “Human Resource development for advanced energy materials and convergence technology”. To achieve the project goals, he worked with the graduate students of materials, mechanical and electrical engineering research laboratories to impart training of creativity, Design Thinking, Project-Based learning (PBL), Team-based Learning (TBL), TRIZ and double-diamond skills in graduate students and to practically implement these in the university research projects.
