 COURSES DETAILS MATHEMATIC-I (CALCULUS) Course Objectives • To impart elementary concept of functions, limits, derivatives, differential formulae, and integration of algebraic and transcendental functions. • Enhance the knowledge of students about concept of partial differentiation and indeterminate forms of function that are used in solving different types of differentiation problems. Offer plentiful knowledge and skills in solving relevant mathematical problems in engineering and architecture. Course Outcome • Broadly describe the concept of functions, limits and derivatives. • Elucidate the rules of differentiation to determine the derivatives of algebraic and transcendental functions. • Apply the concept of using derivatives for determining the equation of tangent and normal lines and in curve tracing, Solve problems of rate of change /time-rates. • Evaluate limits of indeterminate forms of functions using derivatives. • Apply the concept of the differentials to solve the approximation problems. • Explain the concept of critical points to solve correct maxima-minima application problems.   MATHEMATICS-II  (DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND TRANSFORMS) Course Objectives The course: • Provide students a deeper understanding of the basic concepts of functions, limits and the derivatives and familiarize students with the use of the differentiation formulas and integration of algebraic and transcendental functions • Provide students abundant knowledge and skills in solving relevant problems in engineering and architecture and strengthen/ broaden their knowledge in partial differentiation and indeterminate forms of functions which they may encounter in solving different types of differentiation problems   Course Outcomes • Discuss comprehensively the concept of functions, limits and derivatives • Apply the rules of differentiation to determine the derivative of algebraic and transcendental function • Apply concept of derivatives to determine equation of tangent, normal lines and curve tracing • Use the concept of critical points to solve correctly maxima-minima application problems and evaluate limits of indeterminate forms of functions using derivatives • Apply the concept of the differentials to solve approximation problems   MATHEMATICS-III  (STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY) Course Objectives To introduce Civil Engineers the concept of statistics and probability.
