Dr. Muhammad Ashiq did his B.Sc. from Punjab University, Lahore in 1986 and M.Sc. in 1988, M.Phil. in 1991 and PhD in 2005 from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. His research is basically concentrated in the field of Group Theory, and Theory of Group Graphs. He has published number of research papers in world reputed journals and presented research papers in various national and international conferences. 

He remained on the faculties of Federal College of Education H-9, Islamabad, Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, NUST College of E & ME, MCE, Risalpur and PMA Kakul, Abbattabad. 

At present, he is doing the duty of Head of Department of Humanities & Basic Sciences in Military College of Signals, Rawalpindi, a constituent institution of National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan.
