Dr. Shahzaib Tahir received his PhD in Information Engineering from City, University of London, United Kingdom in January 2019. He received his MS in Information Security from Military College of Signals, NUST in 2015 and Bachelor’s in Software Engineering from Bahria University, Islamabad in 2013. His research focuses on Cloud Security, Searchable Encryption, Homomorphic Encryption, Privacy Preserving Techniques, Blockchain, Secure Communication Protocols and Water Memory.
Dr. Shahzaib is presently an Assistant Professor at Department of Information Security, MCS-NUST. He joined MCS-NUST as Lecturer in June 2015. From July 2016 to January 2019 he has been Research Assistant in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at City, University of London.
Dr Shahzaib Tahir is an alumni of the Innovate UK Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (CyberASAP)-Year 2. He secured a funding of 180,000 GBP and has been running a startup at the UK. He has received a year-long mentoring by leading cyber security professionals and entrepreneurs in the UK that were a part of the CyberASAP programme.
