NUST Institute of Management Sciences (NIMS) was established in 1999 to meet the increasing demand for skilled corporate managers and entrepreneurs. It was entrusted with the task of training and educating a class of business leaders equipped with practical business skills based in a broader intellectual and ethical framework to embrace the challenges and opportunities of an ever-changing marketplace. The School was named as NUST Business School (NBS) in 2008 with the renewed objective of providing high-quality education in management sciences. In less than a decade, it has made its mark as one of the premier business schools in Pakistan and a training ground par excellence for future corporate managers and leaders.
NUST Business School offers graduate and postgraduate programs in Business Administration and Accounts & Finance. Over a short span of time, NBS has emerged as the fastest growing school of business education in the country. Since its inception, there has been a dramatic increase in its student intake, which has risen from the pioneering batch of 97 in 1999 to 1275 in the year 2017. There has been ever-growing demand for NBS graduates in the industry. Handsome number of faculty members have PhD degrees, while the rest have MPhil, MBA and PA degrees from leading national and international universities.
Furthermore, few members of NBS faculty are currently on study leave for their doctoral studies under the faculty development program.
