Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must

  • Be Pakistani citizens
  • Be enrolled in NBS or are currently complete undergraduate/masters degree studies at NBS
  • Be intending to pursue full-time studies at NBS and, by the date of the scholarship application deadline, hold an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) to a degree programme at NBS
  • Value, Terms, and Conditions

  • The value of the scholarship will vary from 20% up to 75% of the tuition fee for the semester.
  • The scholarship is tenable for one semester only and may be renewed depending on the availability of the fund and decision of the alumni.
  • The NBS Alumni Scholarship may be held alongside other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries. The amount of the NBS award may be adjusted depending on the total value of other funds received by the student.
  • Scholarship recipients are obliged to inform the NBS Student Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded toward their NBS degree studies, before or subsequent to the NBS Alumni Scholarship award.
  • Scholarships cannot be transferred to another institution, nor deferred to a later year.
  • The scholarship will only be applied to the recipient’s fees.
  • Scholarship payments are only made if the recipient is fully enrolled in a degree programme at NBS.
  • Within 2 months of the end date of the NBS Alumni Scholarship, recipients are required to submit to NBS a letter of gratitude to the donor/s (To Whom It May Concern). The letter should comment on the impact of the scholarship on the recipient’s education and how the award has benefited them. It should also include details of proposed career plans and any career developments. The copy of the letter should also be shared with the alumni committee.
  • All scholarship and awards are subject to the availability of funds.
  • NBS Alumni Scholarship is independent entity and the role of university is that of a facilitator and hence NBS cannot be held liable for any purpose whoso ever.
  • Any funding received by the student is to be returned in 10 years’ time after the award of the scholarship. The amount is to be deposited in the NBS Alumni Scholarship account at HBL and the University and Alumni Committee should be informed of the same.
