Dr. Aqeel Israr has teaching experience of over 7 years with various business schools. Currently he is serving as Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in Management and HR Department at NUST Business School (NBS). Dr. Aqeel has taught courses in the areas of Entrepreneurship, general Management and Marketing. His experience covers teaching courses related to Entrepreneurship and venture creation at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in Pakistan and Malaysia. Prior to joining Academia, Dr. Aqeel Israr worked in the corporate sector for 6 years in the areas of Business Development and Account Management in the IT sector of Pakistan. This provides him with unique skills of corporate and academia which he endeavors to translate into practical knowledge to provide to his students. Dr. Aqeel Israr is also a certified master trainer from Higher Education Commission and has been involved in designing and delivering trainings in various projects of international organisations including World Bank, USAID, Care International and Plan International.

Dr. Aqeel Israr’s core areas of research includes Entrepreneurship, Change Management, Business Psychology, Teaching Methodology and Training & Development. His PhD dissertation titled “Impact of personality on entrepreneurial intentions: The moderating role of teaching methodology”. His application for SRGP research grant is under process and aims to further increase his research standings.

For his work ethics and account management skills, he was awarded as the “Account Manager for the Year 2008” by IBM Pakistan.​
