Ph.D in Business Administration from Kobe University, Kobe, Japan; MBA Cum Laude from Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

​Dr. Sophia Ali is serving as Assistant Professor at NUST Business School. She received her Ph.D in Business Administration from Kobe University, which is known as the pioneer of Business Administration studies in Japan. She has experience working for the Industry as well as the Academia. Her prior research focuses on the working conditions and career of employees, particularly the millennial generation.

​Dr. Ali is engaged in interdisciplinary research based on the interlinkages between General Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management/Development, Industrial and Social Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology by effectively utilizing her academic and professional experience. Her current research interests and ongoing studies include, Career Planning and Management, Intergenerational dilemmas in the organization w.r.t Millennials, Leadership 4.0, Employee well-being and Human Sustainability, Revisiting Quality of work life and Careers in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

    ​Before joining NUST Business School, Dr. Ali has taught at Bahria University as a Lecturer (VF) in the Management Sciences department.

    ​Dr. Ali has experience working for the Human Resource departments of various organizations in the Construction, Telecommunications, Consulting, as well as Retail Industry. She has also assisted in several Industry-Academia liaison initiatives.
