Nust Public Administration Society (NPAS)

NUST Public Administration society is an initiative of students of the department of Government and Public Policy (GPP) of School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3h).It is an esteemed student body  whose primary vision is to identifying ways through which the youth of Pakistan can possibly contribute to the sustainable development of the public sector. Our mission is to   instill a sense of commitment towards public policy in the young generation of Pakistan; and to improve the bureaucratic realm of Pakistan. We strive to create an enabling environment where experts, professors, bureaucrats, and human rights activist come and share their first-hand knowledge and experience with students; create awareness in the students regarding career paths and opportunities in the public sector of Pakistan. We help future public administrators promulgate different ideas of policy solutions;, and facilitate interaction of students with policy think tanks and other intellectuals. We educate our students about the significance and magnitude of the field of Public Policy. The activities of NPAS include seminar series in which guest speakers come to NUST to interact with students. They discuss new avenues in public policy and enlighten students about career paths, further studies and the diversity within the field. We hold debating and essay writing competitions on current affairs and political/socio-economic issues. This series of events provide an opportunity to the students to interact with different diplomats and officials. This session leads students and CSS aspirants to meet the leaders in this field (CSS officers) and will let them prepare the best.
