NUST-SADA Students Refurbished Senate Library at Parliament House Islamabad

4th Year B. Architecture (Batch 2013) was tasked to refurbish the existing senate library. Competition was open to the whole class. Groups were formed and designs were presented to chairman Senate and other members of the senate. In series of meetings, 01 design was selected and finalized. Following are the students whose design was selected:

The students, as a team, put all their strengths together to produce the best design initially under the supervision of Ar. Usama Bin Murad  and  then further improved their design under  guidance  of Ar. Seema Andaleeb and Ar. Sara Amin. After final design was selected the work was assigned to CDA for implementation.

The inauguration ceremony of refurbishment of Senate Library was held on 23rd August 2017 attended by over 250, where the role of NUST-SADA in designing the library was highly appreciated by the Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani. Words of encouragement by the Chairman Senate were a moral benefit for the entire team. Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani highly praised the efforts of Principal SADA Ar./Plnr. Sikander Ajam Khan, Students and faculty of SADA for bringing their role in designing the library. The design was appreciated by the other senators and visitors, speeches were held in which NUST and SADA was thanked.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by award distribution among Principal, students and faculty of SADA. It is an honour for SADA, NUST to be associated with this project.
