Engr. Muhammad Fawad did Bachelor’s of Civil Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, NUST, in 2015.  He earned his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Budapest University of Technology Budapest Hungary through fully funded Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship in 2019. 
His areas of interest involves Structural Health Monitoring of Structures, Retrofitting of Structures and Simulation and modelling of Structures. His thesis work involved the computational modelling of a damaged RC bridge in Hungary through which he carried out the health assessment of bridge. Study was tailored with an example of bridge in Poland which was analysed by using smart bridge inspection method, having the combined effects of BrIM and AR. The damage formation in the bridge was replicated using constitutive modelling of concrete with additional considerations of different possibilities of loading schemes. Based on the simulation results, damaged model of structure was developed. Retrofitting measures were proposed using FRP’s.  These models were efficient enough to reduce the damages of bridge from 30% to 5% of the total area of each span of bridge.

He has 3 years of post-graduation teaching experience as Lab Engineer at NUST Institute of Civil Engineering, teaching the laboratory work of following courses:

He has also worked as Material Testing Engineer in Laboratory of Structural Engineering NICE NUST for 2 years where he was dealing with the testing of all kind of Civil Engineering Materials. Currently he is also the industry coordinator of Structural Engineering Department and provide design and consultancy services to different Industrial Projects done by Structural Engineering Department. ​
