SEECS Farewell 18
8th May, 2018
Every year at SEECS, the junior batch organises a farewell party in the honour of graduating batch. The event is organised for the seniors to cherish the moments that became their memories, people who became family and the place that became their home. Seniors are bid a warm farewell as they step out from the comforts of their university life and into the professional life that awaits them beyond the gates of NUST.
Theme
The theme of the event was Desi meets Walayeti: a desi mehndi setup with mesmerising western décor, incorporated with desi music with a dance floor and disco lights. In short, a complete amalgam of modern Bhangra. All this merged with the entrée of Walayati seniors in tuxedos and saaris. Whereas in contrast, we had our desi Junior year boys and girls in shimmering desi Kurtas and Lehengas.

The event was organised at SEECS ground. The event catered to a total of 650 people, out of which 304 were senior year students, 320 junior year students and the rest were faculty members. The bright lighting of the tent was impeccable, the excellent music system also added to the charm of the evening and ensured that the performances could be enjoyed to the fullest by the audience.
Organisation
The event was organised by the junior year batch presidents Asjad Behzad Butt and Warda Binte Masna. In order to facilitate this process, Sadia Naseer, Vice Chair of P&P, was assigned from SGA as the mentor for the event along with the Chair of P&P, Aqsa Imran. Treasurer SGA, Shaur Khaqan handled the funds of the event.
During the preparation for the event, a faculty vetting team led by Mr. Moin Ud Din, provided guidance to the students with regards to vetting of the performances. They helped in ensuring that all the material presented before the audience on the event day was in compliance with the disciplinary rules of NUST and the general acceptable norms of the society. Their insight and perspective were vital to arrange a good program.
