  • Faiq Munir of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Comm Tech Highlights 2015 Singapore, Presented Pakistan (NUST), 2015.

  • Muhammad Owais (Team Leader), Ahmed Wahaj, Muhammad Naeem, Taimoor Asif and Tayyaba Noor (IESE) of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Shell Ecomarathon Asia 2018 (SEMA) held in Singapore. Winner of the “Perseverance and Spirit of the Event Award” and cash prize 3000$. NUST Ecomotive was the first ever team from NUST H-12 to participate in SEMA.Abdul Rehman, Umair Hassan and Idrees Hussain of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Rob Cup SPL China, Only team in Asia to Qualify, 2015.

  • Hamza Jamil of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Conference from Asia-Pacific Region at Harvard University.

  • Ali Ghaffar of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Thermocon 14, and won Green idea porter presentation at Topi GIKI.

  • Tayab Aftab and Muhammad Atique of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in UCP Engg Olympiad at UCP Lahore and stand 2nd in Hydraulic Crane Competition.

  • Junaid Babar of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Mathemagician 14 at FAST Islamabad and stand 2nd in IEEE week 2014.

  • Usama Zaid Malik of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in All Pak Essay Competition (Written), 1st in Federal for Essay on Terrorism.

  • Uzair Sohail of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Smartest Nustian and stand 3rd. It was coordinated by NSS and more than 500 students participated from NUST.

  • Muhammad Moeed Ahmed of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in External Pipe climbing device, IMechE at SMME, NUST and stand 3rd. His  device had a gear train with speed increasing ratio of 1.6, the motor had enough torque to lift at max 1.5kg with ease.

  • Junaid Ahmed of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Speak Out for Engineering (Locals) by IMechE NUST Student Chapter and won the competition. This particular competition was intra-university where different students from all over the NUST took part to present their ideas. I held 1st position among the participants. It was the first step of the three step competition of national level.

  • Muhammad Rizwan Farooq of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in National Design Challenge at SMME, NUST. Competition held two times first in just NUST and EME level in which we got 3rd position and at national level in which we got 2nd position.

  • Junaid Ahmed of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Speak Out for Engineering (North Regional Competition) by IMechE UET Taxilla Student Chapter and was 1st Runner up. This particular competition was inter-university in which the winners of three different SOfE Locals, held by three IMechE student chapters in the North of Pakistan, participated. I held 1st Runner Up position among the participants and advanced to national competition. It was the second step of the three step competition of national level.

  • Ishaq Ibrahim of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in IET PATW Stage IV at Radisson Blu Park Hotel, Athens, Greece and won Audience Favorite Award. He was the one representing Pakistan in the Institution of Engineering and Technology's Present Around The World Stage IV which was held in Athens, Greece. There were participants from 15 countries in the EMEA region. The competition involved giving a 10 minute presentation on any engineering project or topic of your choice. The judges evaluated based on presentation skills, with a very small weightage for the technical content. The Audience Favorite award was decided by anonymous voting done that included everybody who was a part of the audience. I was able to secure the Audience Favorite award. Also to be noted is that this was the Stage IV, so I had already won 3 stages before reaching the 4th stage. Stage 1 was the local round held in NUST. Stage 2 was the regional round for Islamabad. Stage 3 was the National Round held in Lahore.

  • Tashfeen Ali Ahmed of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in National Design, Build and Fly Competition (DBFC-13) at GIKI and stand 3rd. DBFC is a nationwide competition, organized by the GIK Institute in collaboration with STEM Careers Programme, a joint Venture of HEC & PIEAS. Teams from various universities of Pakistan design and build their RC planes to compete in this 3 day event where they undergo assessment in front of a panel of judges and then compete in performing flight missions such as aerobatic maneuvers and endurance tests.

  • Tashfeen Ali Ahmed of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in FICS'19 at NUST and Winner in 'Sustainable and Clean Energy Domain'. Presented our project SOLAR AC which consumes less electricity, is environment friendly, and performs efficiently in hot and humid conditions in comparison to conventional air conditioners.

  • Usama Ishaq of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in FICS 2019 at NUST and Winner in Energy category. Out of 9 relevant categories at FICS 2019 his team won in energy category.

  • Neeraj Nankani (Team lead), Aiza Tahir, Saad Anwar Shaikh, Hashir Naeem and Hasnat Aman of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Aerothon'19 at SMME, NUST stand 2nd in RC-plane and drone competition conducted by ASME.

  • Ali Raza Khalid of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in PIEAS Olympiad 18 at PIEAS and 1st position in glider making.

  • Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Kiyani of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in FICS 19 at NUST and Winner in Sustainable and Clean Energy Domain. He and his team presented a prototype of Solar AC to reduce the energy consumption and help save the environment using solar energy.

  • Muhammad Talal Khan of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Scavenger Hunt at NUST and won the competition. It was a team event. Our team comprised of 4 students. In this event, we were given hints regarding the path we needed to follow in order to reach the destination in the least possible time. Also we had to perform a task at some venues for a better score.

  • Muhammad Awais Sultan of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in PepsiCo Change the Game Contest 2018 at Lahore and stand 1st Runner up among the top 26 teams from APAC region in PepsiCo CTG Contest 2018 for sustainable plastic recycling business model.

  • Mahnoor Bilal, Mohammad Ali, Rizwan Farooq, Mohsin Bashir and Jawad Ali of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in National Design Challenge at SMME, NUST and stand 3rd. Dr. David Ball, Chairman IMechE North-West Region was the chief guest for the National Design Challenge 2018, and evaluated submissions and presentations from the teams that qualified the regional level contest.

  • Saad Anwar Shaikh of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Aerothon 2019 at SMME, NUST. Achieved 2nd position in fixed wing module.

  • Farzan Nabeel a student of junior year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in National Design Challenge at SMME, NUST and won External Pipe Climber competition.

  • Muhammad Zarrar Mumtaz a student of junior year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Speak out for Engineers (SofE) at SMME, NUST and stands 3rdin the competition.

  • Muhammad Uzair Malik, Tashfeen Ali Ahmed, Abdul Wasay Ikhlaq, Omer Ahmed Sohail and Zargham Zia Mughal of sophomore year at the Department of Mechanical Engineering SMME participated in Design, Build and Fly Competition (DBFC) at GIKI and stands 3rd in the competition. Electric powered RC plane with pusher type propeller. National level competition sponsored by HEC, PIEAS and GIKI and won 45k prize money.
