Purpose:

Researchers from leading Japanese Wheelchair Industries and associated Japanese Universities will join hands with researchers of the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering (RISE) lab (NUST-SMME) to introduce active wheelchairs technology in Pakistan. The researchers will also collaborate on research projects for development of state of the art technologies to further research into Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Active Wheelchairs.

For establishment of Parametric Technologies corporation (PTC) Academy

Purpose:

SMME has signed an MoU with Trojans for establishing PTC Academy at SMME.  Where TROJANS in its capacity as Authorized Training Providers by PTC (USA) will train five faculty members of SMME on WINDCHILL (PLM software) having status of PTC (USA) authorized training instructors. PTC Academy at SMME will be the sole PTC authorized academy in the Northern Region of Pakistan for imparting trainings on WINDCHILL software.

SMME has procured 20 Licenses of WINDCHILL software from PTC through TROJANS.

PTC WINDCHILL is a single solution framework which automates all aspects of the engineering process throughout a product's development "lifecycle". This product cycle includes estimating and calculation, CAD design, revision control, change management, project scheduling, supplier selection, quality control, product end-user documentation and so forth. Wind chill also generates assembly variants, facilitates cross-CAD collaboration and more.
