Umar Ansari did his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from University of New South Wales, Australia. He is being teaching various courses in the department of Biomedical Engineering since 2013. His research interest includes Implantable devices, Rehabilitation Engineering and Functional Electronics Stimulation (FES). His current research projects are rehabilitation of stroke patients and diagnostic bio sensing.​​​
