Dr. Niaz Bahadur Khan is working as Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. His academic qualifications include PhD from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Computational Design), from Ghulam Ishaq Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Swabi, Pakistan. Dr Niaz was previously working as Manager (Technical) at National Engineering and Scientific Commission, Islamabad, Pakistan (2009-2014).  In addition, he worked at AEDesign (PVT Limited), Lahore and National Institute of Design & Analysis, Peshawar.

Dr. Niaz research work include numerical investigation of the unsteady nature of the flow around fixed and oscillating cylinder using computational fluid dynamics. His work mainly focused on reduction of computational cost using different models and meshing techniques. He did the Large eddy simulation (LES) and RANS model of the Navier Stokes (NS) equation to numerically investigate the behavior around fixed cylinder and vortex-induced vibration phenomenon. Dr Niaz published computational works in high-caliber international journals with increasing citations. He has been developing a strong link with industrial companies through a wide range of knowledge exchange activities including research projects, consultancy, visits, teaching and group/individual works of MSc/PhD students.​
