The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Islamabad Section, in collaboration with Antennas & Propagation Society (APS), Microwave Theory & Techniques Society (MTT-S) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMC), jointly organised a 2-day workshop at Research Institute for Microwave & Millimeter-Wave Studies (RIMMS), NUST H-12 Campus on November 26-27, 2019.
The workshop was a continuation of a special distinguished lecture series, focused on antenna design challenges for automated and connected driving, energy efficient future wireless communication and engineering applications of electromagnetism. Prof Fan Yang (Tsinghua University, China); Prof Matthias A. Hein (TU Ilmenau, Germany); and Prof Nuno Borges Carvalho (Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal); were the keynote speakers at the workshop. Pro Rector RIC NUST, appreciated the efforts of Principal, HoD RIMMS, and Chair of IEEE MTT/APS/EMC joint chapter for continuously organising the IEEE International workshop on RF & Microwave. The workshop was a great success with regards to the representation of students, faculty and industrial sector in it.
