Eye care is an area that needs immediate attention in Pakistan. There are 4.9 Million people around the world who can’t have the pleasure of seeing their loved ones even standing beside them. NUST Community Service Club (NCSC) focused its activities around this issue last year and this year, as well, the club is holding its second Free Eye Camp.
The camp, in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Trust, will be set up in Medical Centre, H-12 NUST Campus, on 10th-11th April, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 6.00 PM.
Previously, the club had an amazing turnout with people turning up for free eye check-ups. In addition, free medicine of about Rs.40, 000 was given to the patients and around 200 eye glasses were distributed.
The second free eye camp will be well equipped with Doctors, Nursing Staff, Medical Prescriptions and Glasses and is open for faculty on 10th April and students will be entertained after 2:00 P.M.
On 11th April, the free eye camp will be opened for students all day.
