NUST Alumni Association (NAA), in collaboration with NUST alumnus and Rutgers, are launching a pilot “Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)” program at Rutgers University, NJ-USA for NUST undergraduate students. Aim of this program is to expose NUST undergraduates to world class research experience in USA. Initially, this program is being launched on a limited scale for students pursing degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
Twelve undergraduate from all CS and EE schools at NUST applied for REU program. A panel consisting of representatives from NUST faculty and NAA interviewed students on research aptitude, knowledge, communication skills, confidence, and discipline.
Panel has shortlisted six students. Dr. Waheed Bajwa, Assistant Professor EE at Rutgers and a NUSTIAN, did the final interviews and selected one student.
We are pleased to announce that Muhammad Talha Paracha (SEECS-NUST) was selected for 10 weeks REU program at Rutgers. Talha just got his US visa and is all set to join REU program.

President NAA and President MCS briefed Rector about this amazing international internship program, which will open new corridors for NUST at RUTGERS University NJ.
