Sukkur IBA University, has organized a conference on the Concept of Community Colleges in Pakistan on 9 January 2018. The purpose behind establishment of these Community Colleges is to bridge the gap between rural and urban education and to provide equal opportunities to
the underprivileged students, who otherwise could not afford to go for quality education. All gathered to discuss and understand how this new
concept can create inclusiveness in education in rural Pakistan. The conference attracted various people including Education Minister Sindh,
Jam Mehtab Dahar, All Cultural Attaché US Counsel Karachi, Dr. Daniel Lee, President Johnson community college USA Prof. Dr. Joseph M.
Sopcich, Professor of English Dr. Beth Gulley, Vice Chancellors Sindh University, Quaid-e-Azam University, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar and others were also in attendance. Later, round table discussion took place between the academia and industry.
