Dr Faisal Abbas, Professor of Economics and Director of the Centre of Excellence on Population and Wellbeing Studies at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3H), NUST, has been appointed as an Advisory Member of the Guideline Development Group (GDG) by the World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva.

The GDG comprises global experts who advise WHO on the technical development, organization, and dissemination of health recommendations. Dr Abbas brings his expertise in health economics, public health, and population studies to this prestigious platform, further strengthening NUST’s contribution to global health policy and research.
