Mr. Bilal Zafar was awarded scholaship during Aug 2007 for Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden under NUST Sponsorship for MS in “Wireless Systems & Communication Engineering” and completed MS in Sep 2009. During Jan 2010, he was awarded scholarship for University of Ilmenau, Germany under NUST Faculty Development Programme for PhD in “Mobile Communication”. He had signed a bond to serve NUST for 05 years after completion of his PhD but he did not join NUST to fulfill his bond obligations.

Till date, the scholar has neither joined back NUST nor refunded the amount spent on him, which makes him defaulter of the Government of Pakistan.
