Business School faculty Kashir Asghar remembered at Innovation & Entrepreneur Lab (KAIEL) inauguration

NUST Business School (NBS) has inaugurated ‘Kashir Asghar Innovation & Entrepreneur Lab (KAIEL),’ in honour of its faculty member, the late Mr Kashir Asghar, who passed away in May 2020.
Lt Gen (Retd) Muhammad Asghar, the former Rector NUST and father of Late Mr Asghar, graced the humble inauguration ceremony as chief guest.
KAEIL is a platform for promoting entrepreneurial activity and strengthening student knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs. It will provide students with opportunities and mentorship to explore, generate and develop innovative and game-changing business ideas.
In his welcome address, Dr Naukhez Sarwar, Principal & Dean NBS said that it is an occasion to fulfillment as we are all gathered for the launch of a lab, in tribute to a person who was full of ideas and energy, capable of making far-fetched ideas seem close to reality.
In his address, the Chief Guest said that KAEIL should connect with the entire community of practice because Research and Innovation cannot happen in isolation. Wishing success for the venture, he said that innovation has two key components; technology and the business model, and it is the business model which controls the application of it, and business school is the brain of it.
