NUST and Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on mutual collaboration in sustainability

NUST and Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on mutual collaboration in sustainability including energy-efficient solutions for reducing carbon emissions and natural gas usage. The team from NUST under the leadership of Pro-Rector Research Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC), Dr Rizwan Riaz and the PTC team under the leadership of the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Mr Syed Ali Akbar signed the MoU.

Both sides agreed to take this cooperation forward through meaningful action and long-term goals.

In the first phase of this cooperation, NUST and PTC will focus on Carbon Sequestration (CO2 capture through organic media to reduce Green House Gases) while the second phase will focus on collaboration on Energy Wheeling.
