NUST celebrates impact of partners of its nation-building initiatives



NUST organised a virtual interactive forum to celebrate ‘A Day with the Impact Champions’ on May 7, 2021. The event served to conclude NUST’s Zakat Drive 2021 on a high note. Launched to help the students who have been hard hit by the ongoing Pandemic, the campaign “Jab of Hope” received an overwhelming response from supporters who stepped forward to give hope of a better future to the struggling students.

The event, organised by University Advancement Office NUST, was a full-throttle engagement session that hosted prominent keynote speakers and panelists such as Lt Gen Muhammad Asghar, HI, HI(M) (Retd), Member Higher Education Commission (HEC) & Former Rector NUST; Mr Najeeb Ghauri, CEO NETSOL; Dr Ashfaque Hasan Khan, Dean of NUST School of Social Sciences & Humanities (S3H) and an eminent economist; Dr Sohail Sarwar, President NUST Alumni Association (NAA); Mr Anis Younis, Managing Director EMBA Corporation; Mr Todd Shea, Founder & CEO Comprehensive Disaster Response Services. Also present were NUST’s leading alumni from the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Australia, and other regions.

The event constituted of multi-panel discussions on the themes of ‘Inclusion, Innovation, and Philanthropy – Finding the Best Fit!,’ ‘Navigating through Challenging Times,’ and ‘Her Fard hai Millat key Muqaddar ka Sitara.’ These themes were reflective of the hopes and goals of the NUST Endowment for Educational Development NEED Initiative and encouraged the participants to join the impact and contribute towards building the nation by supporting higher education.

The forum served as the ‘jab of hope’ for every student in need and solidified our faith in champions of the cause who have always stepped forward to support. It was attended live by NUST students, beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, trusted members, friends of NUST, and alumni from all over the world.
