Delegation of Mugla Sitki Kocman University Turkey visits NUST

A three-member delegation from Mugla Sitki Kocman University Turkey visited NUST on December 30, 2020. The delegation included Prof Dr Ilhan Tarimer, Associate Professor Huseyin Guruler, and Dr Safeer Ahmed, Director ORIC Islamia College University Peshawar

On arrival, the delegation had a centralised meeting at NUST Main Office, headed by Dr Asif Raza, Pro-Rector (Academics). The meeting entailed an introduction to NUST as a research-led university contributing to the national science and technology goals, followed by a discussion session on future collaborative prospects in the areas of student and faculty exchange,  joint research projects, and the possibility of Turkish faculty teaching at NUST for three months.

The delegation also visited NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) where they met with Principal SEECS and faculty members who provided a guided tour of different labs of the school.

The visiting delegates encouraged and highly appreciated NUST’s performance and facilities provided for its faculty and students to ensure quality teaching, learning and research. The guests expressed their gratitude for local hospitality and for facilitating their visit to NUST.
