NUST Cycling Rally Promotes Eco-friendly, Healthy Lifestyle
The spirit of sustainability and community came alive at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) with an electrifying turnout at Green Wheels – NUST Cycling Rally 2025. Rector NUST Dr Muhammad Zahid Latif along with an overwhelming number of students, faculty, and staff joined the rally that stretched across the scenic Islamabad campus.
Echoing “Pedal your way to a better lifestyle,” the rally was aimed at promoting cycling as a sustainable mode of mobility, foster camaraderie among the university community, and appreciate the campus’ mesmerising landscape. The rally also marked the official launch of the NUST’s first-ever Cycling Club, a significant milestone in the institution’s ongoing commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and encouraging wellness-focused activities.
Another exciting feature of the rally was award of as many as 20 bicycles through balloting across 4 different categories. Speaking at the event, the Rector praised the enthusiasm of the NUST community and expressed his commitment to promoting similar activities on campus. He maintained that the formation of NUST Cycling Club would further reinforce our efforts to build a healthier, greener and more connected campus.
