Rector’s Orientation Visit to NBS

Soon after assuming the responsibilities of Rector NUST, Dr Muhammad Zahid Latif has embarked on a series of visits to all constituent Institutions of NUST, beginning with his visit to NUST Business School (NBS) at the university’s Islamabad campus on December 30, 2024.

Upon his arrival, Dr Zahid was warmly welcomed by Pro Rector Academics, Dr Osman Hasan, and Principal NBS, Dr Naukhez Sarwar. The visit commenced with a meeting at the principal’s office, followed by a detailed briefing on NBS. Dr Naukhez, along with the Heads of Departments, presented a comprehensive overview of the academic affairs, institutional matters, and ongoing initiatives. The Rector was then conducted to a detailed visit of the school, including classrooms, faculty workspaces and other facilities.

Later, Rector addressed the faculty and discussed his vision for NUST. During his address Dr Zahid highlighted the critical role educators play in shaping the lives of students by inculcating values critical for achieving true prosperity. He said that social stability is a must to achieve peace and prosperity, emphasising that no nation can progress without giving due importance to education, hence educational institutions like NUST have a key role to play towards nation building in these epoch-making times.

The Rector’s visit underscores his commitment to strengthening the academic ecosystem and enhancing the collective impact of NUST’s constituent institutions.
