NUST hosts Turkish Aerospace Industries Delegation
The Executive Vice President of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) Mr Ugur Zengin and Mr Atilla Dogan, along with a high-level delegation visited NUST on May 17, 2022. The delegation held a meeting with Lieutenant General (R) Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector NUST to discuss possible avenues of collaboration.
TAI is among the global players in the defense and aerospace industries. The delegation was apprised of the latest advancements in technology and research areas in which NUST excels. The delegation also visited the National Science & Technology Park at NUST followed by a visit to the School of Interdisciplinary Engineering and Sciences and various lab facilities at NUST for future research projects collaboration.
TAI also explored the possibility of establishing more research Labs at NUST on the same model as the already established TAI Design Lab.
In the end, the delegation had a detailed discussion with Pro-Rector Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (RIC), Dr Rizwan Riaz and Director Research, Dr Hamood Ur Rehman, on multiple areas of research and development aimed at exploring the opportunity for mutual collaboration between NUST and TAI in future on conducting joint research. This highly appreciated visit will ensure future collaborations and sustainable cooperation at both ends.
