NUST Hosts “Innovation in Energy” to Promote Climate-Resilient Solutions
The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), through its Office of Sustainability and in collaboration with USPCAS-E, hosted the “Innovation in Energy” event, spotlighting the transformative potential of renewable energy in shaping Pakistan’s climate-resilient future. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, startups and youth, highlighting NUST’s pivotal role in driving sustainable development through innovation and collaboration.
Dr Shezra Mansab Ali Khan Kharal, Minister of State for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In her address, she emphasised the critical need for cross-sectoral partnerships to co-create solutions for climate challenges.
A landmark moment of the event was the launch of the Sustainable Event Guide by Pro-Rector (RIC), Dr Rizwan Riaz. The guide sets a new standard for institutional sustainability at NUST by embedding eco-conscious principles into event planning and operations across all campuses. It serves as a strategic step toward reducing environmental impact and fostering a climate-responsible culture within the university.
With “Innovation in Energy,” NUST once again underscored its dedication to driving impactful, research-based initiatives that contribute to a greener, cleaner Pakistan.
