CEME faculty members win Innovative & Collaborative Research Grant worth PKR 90 Million

We are pleased to share that a team of faculty members from NUST College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (CEME) has secured the highly competitive Innovative & Collaborative Research Grant (ICRG). The team comprised Dr Mohsin Islam Tiwana, Associate Professor, and Dr Muhammad Mubasher Saleem, Assistant Professor, at Department of Mechatronics Engineering, NUST CEME.

The grant is worth PKR 90 Million (GBP 419,500) and is in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh UK, under the PAK-UK Education Gateway programme. Only 6 projects are awarded in Pak-UK Gateway ICRG call, out of over 263 projects jointly submitted by researchers from Pakistan and UK universities. The screening process involves an international peer review which spans over a year in three different stages. The focus of this prestigious international grant is the development of innovative solutions for the application of micro/nanotechnology in telemanipulation-based robotic surgery.

#NUSTFamily congratulates the faculty members on this success.
