Green NUST

The lush green campus of NUST in Islamabad mesmerises anyone who experiences its serenity, exquisiteness and grandeur. While integrating high-tech labs, sophisticated teaching and research edifice and amenities for all-inclusive life, NUST Islamabad campus epitomises a unique amalgam of nature and nurture. Going further in its commitment to green initiatives, NUST has an extensive service network of electric shuttles plying across the Islamabad campus, and also boasts a smart bicycle sharing system – ECOLAD, a brainchild of the university’s own students, which further reduces the use of combustion engines for short distance travelling. In addition, the campus also has 1 megawatt solar power generation capacity with solar panels installed at large parking lots and roofs of hostels and schools, with  a plan to completely shift to renewable energy by 2030.
