CEME team wins national round of Microsoft Imagine Cup
CONGRATULATIONS CEME!
The victorious team will now be representing Pakistan in the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Finals; a premier international competition of product ideas and software development. Described as the “Olympics” for Software Engineering students, Microsoft Imagine Cup invites students from around the world to come up with innovative technical ideas and their implementation.
The two-member team, including Khizer Hussain of BS Computer Engineering and Asad Mansoor Khan of PhD Computer Engineering at NUST College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME) is supervised by Dr Muhammad Usman Akram. Their project is a cloud-based application that uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to grade ophthalmology diseases. The solution is based on azure technologies and indigenously developed algorithms.
