RIMMS Faculty-led IEEE Joint Chapter Wins Best Technical Chapter Award 2020

We are pleased to announce that IEEE (Microwave Theory & Techniques Society (MTTS), Antennas & Propagation Society (APS), Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMCS) and Circuits & Systems Society (CAS) Joint Chapter at NUST Research Institute for Microwave & Millimetre-Wave Studies (RIMMS) has been awarded the “Best Technical Chapter Award” for 2020 from IEEE Islamabad Section. The chapter was awarded for its exceptional performance on February 26, 2021, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IEEE Islamabad section at Islamabad Club.

First of its kind in Pakistan, the chapter was established three years ago with an aim to leverage the wide network of IEEE for the benefits of graduate students & faculty and to promote teaching & research collaboration in the region. The chapter is led by Dr Nosherwan Shoaib as Chair and Dr Hammad M Cheema as Co-chair from NUST-RIMMS. During the AGM, Dr Nosherwan was also elected as Chair Educational Activities for IEEE Islamabad Section.
