NUST Students’ project among 11 winners to receive $100k seed funding by Hult Prize Foundation

It brings us immense pleasure to announce that BFREEZE team, comprising of NUST students, has been selected as one of the 11 winning teams of the HULT Prize Seed Fund capital of $100k, for the year 2020 of “BOLD Businesses for a Better Planet.” The winning team comprised of Mahnoor Bilal, Aashir Iqbal, and Muhammad Usama from NUST School of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) and Urvah Saikhani from NUST School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (SEECS.)

HULT prize is a year-long movement that crowd-sources start-up ideas from university-level students after challenging them to solve a pressing social issue around topics such as food security, water access, energy, and education. With BFREEZE developing low-cost and eco-friendly air-conditioning systems, they are now well on their way to influence the start-up community to be more socially aware and impact-focused.

NUSTians are doing us proud by developing meaningful and impactful projects that contribute to the betterment of the people and improve their quality of life.
