Federal Minister PD&SI tours National Centre of Artificial Intelligence Sectt at NUST

NUST welcomed Federal Minister Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Mr Ahsan Iqbal on his visit to the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence at NUST Islamabad Campus. Lt Gen (Retd) Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector NUST, received the honourable minister.

He expressed strong resolve to expedite all projects in the science, technology, and engineering sectors.

The federal minister further said that the government plans to focus on providing access to young scientists and engineers to the international state-of-the-art education and skills in order for them to become a production house for the international IT and science industry.

He emphasised the importance of Artificial Intelligence for modern Knowledge-based Economies and encouraged youth to take up research and education in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

NCAI was inaugurated in the year 2018 by Mr Iqbal as then Minister for Interior and Planning, Development & Reforms.
