Interactive Dialogue by Dr Faisal Masud titled “Future of Technology in Healthcare: Next Generation of Medical Leaders- Why not you?”

Innovation and Commercialization Office NUST (ICON) organized an Interactive Dialogue by Dr Faisal Masud for faculty and students of NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS) and Atta ur Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) titled “Future of Technology in Healthcare: Next Generation of Medical Leaders- Why not you?” Dr Faisal Masud is a distinguished medical professional, who serves on the Houston Methodist Board of Directors and oversees critical care across 8 hospitals. He has received numerous awards and has significantly improved patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes. He actively contributes to healthcare improvement in underdeveloped regions and also serves on the Board of Shifa USA.

Dr Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector, Research Innovation and Commercialization graced the occasion with his presence and Professor Dr Rizwan Ashraf, Principal NUST School of Health Sciences (NSHS) welcomed the esteemed guest at the campus. While interacting with the audience, Dr Faisal Masud emphasized the importance of Leadership, especially for the youth. He also highlighted the significance of Artificial intelligence and Robotics in the healthcare systems and the way these cutting-edge technologies are reshaping the healthcare system. Dr Faisal Masud also visited NCAI and NHTPL and was deeply impressed by the research and technological capabilities of NUST, identifying multiple avenues of future collaborations.
