NUST and S&P Global join forces to shape future talent and industry connectivity

NUST Placement Office has entered into a partnership with S&P Global Inc., solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding signed on September 14th, 2023. The strategic nature of this partnership is poised to bring about transformative changes in the domains of research, industrial connectivity, training, and employment prospects for both the organisations.

The MoU signing ceremony, which took place at NUST, was graced by the presence of key figures, including Pro-Rector RIC, Dr Rizwan Riaz, and Managing Director of S&P Global, Mr Mujeeb Zahur. Also in attendance were Ms Arooba Gillani, General Manager Placements at NUST, Ms Saima Qamar, Director of People at S&P Global, as well as members of S&P Global’s HR, Marketing, and Operations teams, alongside the dedicated NUST Placement Office team.

During the deliberations, Mr Mujeeb Zahur, Dr Rizwan Riaz, and Ms Arooba Gillani came to a unanimous understanding regarding the paramount importance of robust industry-academia partnerships. This collaborative effort is poised to provide students and graduates with invaluable hands-on experience. Furthermore, there was mutual agreement on S&P Global’s unwavering commitment to recruiting highly competent individuals, complemented by NUST’s resolve to produce highly skilled candidates. Both parties also acknowledged the myriad additional advantages stemming from this partnership, including the provision of cutting-edge Final Year Project (FYP) opportunities, which will furnish a distinctive platform for the practical application of knowledge.

It is mutually recognized that this partnership will serve as a nurturing ground for the identification and cultivation of exceptional talent. These endeavors will equip individuals with vital real-world skills that transcend the confines of traditional academic teachings.
