NUST Convocation Week 2026 Begins
NUST commenced its annual Convocation Week. Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal graced the Master Convocation Ceremony as chief guest and conferred medals upon graduates who achieved distinction.
Addressing the graduating students, the Federal Minister extended his heartiest felicitations to the graduates, their parents and faculty members. The minister urged graduates to look beyond material success and focus on the legacy they create, emphasising that true happiness lies not in wealth or possessions, but in making a meaningful difference. He encouraged them to ask themselves: “How is this world going to be a better place because of me?”
Earlier, in his welcome address, Rector, Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif said that at NUST, we do not see education as a mere transfer of knowledge. We see it as a transformative process; one that builds character, cultivates empathy, and strengthens the moral attributes. He added, “The true test of the learning will be measured not by the titles that graduates earn today, but by the lives they touch positively, the change for good that they shall inspire, the communities that they shall serve, the system that they improve, and above all, how they serve Pakistan”.
During Convocation Week, as many as 5,403 graduates from NUST schools are being awarded undergraduate, MS and PhD degrees across a wide range of fields, including Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Law, Management Sciences, Business Studies, Applied Biosciences, Military Art and Science, Architecture and Industrial Design.
