NUST Faculty and Staff Members Shine Bright: Honored with Prestigious Civil Awards 2024

NUST proudly celebrates the exceptional achievements of six esteemed faculty and staff members, recently honored with the prestigious Civil Awards 2024. Registrar Engr Brig Muhammad Ashfaq Maitla has been conferred the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (M) for his exemplary service.

Dr. Salman Raza Naqvi (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), from SCME, is a truly accomplished academician and leading scientist with 178 SCI impact factor papers, 4307 citations, and an H-index of 37. He has the highest number of research publications and research grants in the field of Chemical Engineering in Pakistan.

Dr. Usman Akram (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) is the Founder of BIOMedical Image and Signal Analysis. Dr. Akram has over 300 international publications and PKR 100 million in projects. He’s secured 7 IPs, both international and national.

Arooba Gilani (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) serves as GM Placements at NUST, passionately empowering youth to realize their full potential. Ms. Gillani has established the Japan Centre, connecting Pakistani professionals with opportunities in Japan.

Dr. Haider Abbas (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), a leading Cyber Security expert from MCS and one of the leading academic figures in Pakistan. has secured over PKR 300 million in research grants and authored 200+ scientific articles. He’s leading Cyber Security initiatives for Digital Pakistan.
