NUST Faculty and Staff Shine Bright: Honored with Prestigious Civil Awards 2024
NUST proudly celebrates the exceptional achievements of six esteemed faculty and staff members, recently honored with the prestigious Civil Awards 2024.
Distinguished recipients of the Pride of Performance Award, Dr. Faisal Shafait and Umar Shahbaz, showcase excellence at NUST SEECS and CEME respectively.
Dr Faisal Shafait (Pride of Performance) is working as a Professor & Associate Dean of the Faculty of Computing at NUST SEECS. Leading in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at NUST SEECS, Dr. Shafait has acquired over 20 research grants exceeding PKR 240 million, his work is reflected in 58 journal papers and 140 conference papers. Boasting an H-index of 54 and over 12,500 citations, Dr. Shafait’s impact is undeniable.
Dr Umar Shahbaz (Pride of Performance) is currently serving as a a Professor at NUST CoEME and Director of the National Centre of Robotics & Automation, Dr. Shahbaz’s achievements include accrediting Mechatronics Engineering under the Washington Accord and raising PKR 585 million for projects.
