NUST I&C Dte signs project agreement with PMA Healthcare Pvt Ltd
NUST Innovation & Commercialisation (I&C) Dte signed a project agreement with PMA Healthcare Pvt Ltd on January 17, 2021.
Under the agreement, NUST and PMA will be collaborating to set up a state-of-the-art research and development lab at NUST for developing diagnostic kits for a number of diseases. Pro-rector Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (RIC) NUST, Dr Rizwan Riaz, signed the licensing agreement with Mr Yasir Aziz, Director PMA Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Pro-Rector Academics NUST, Dr Osman Hasan along with Principal Atta ur Rehman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB), Dr Hussnain A. Janjua and his team also graced this event.
Talking at this occasion, Dr Rizwan Riaz stressed the need for a stronger industry-academia linkage for devising indigenous solutions to Pakistan’s local problems. Collaborations like this would not only open up new avenues of practical research for the faculty, but they would also help in capacity building of the faculty and the students in line with the expectations of industry.
