NUST launches ‘Haami’ – A Student-Led Fundraising Club to Support Education and Foster Community Engagement

While NUST actively seeks support from philanthropic partners, donors, and its vast alumni network, it’s essential not to overlook the principle that charity begins at home. To garner additional helping hands and spread awareness about the initiative program, on April 18, 2024 NUST inaugurated its first ever student led fundraising club, named ‘Haami’, aimed at supporting futures.
Ms Arooba Gillani (Director of Advancement and Head of Placement & Global Engagement) briefed the students regarding the NUST Endowment for Educational Development (NEED) Initiative in support of financially challenged students enrolled at NUST.
‘Haami’ aims to instill values of ownership, responsibility, and community service among its members. Through various fundraising campaigns and initiatives, the club seeks to support the educational aspirations of fellow students.
A significant number of the student community graced the event and showed motivation to join the partnership of impact to build the nation through transformative education.
