NUST Signs Cooperation Protocol with Turkish Aerospace and BASDEC



NUST has signed a tri-party Cooperation Protocol with Türk Havacılık Uzay Sanayii (Turkish Aerospace, Pakistan), and Bursa Aerospace & Defense Cluster (BASDEC), Turkiye.
BASDEC is a consortium working under the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and comprises 90+ companies and 7000+ high-tech workforce working in the aerospace and defense sector.
The cooperation protocol covers bilateral and multilateral project partnerships, research & development initiatives, product development, training and testing activities, academic engagements, and investment between the parties in the aerospace sector.
Dr. Mustafa Hatipoglu, Chairman of BASDEC, said: “BASDEC is happy to establish this partnership, and signing this protocol is a significant milestone in this pursuit. The 90+ companies in the consortium of BASDEC, with USD 25 billion in exports, will have access to Pakistan’s emerging market through the National Science & Technology Park. This partnership will benefit NUST and contribute to the growth of Pakistan’s knowledge economy “.
