NUST signs MoA with Precision Medicine Lab (PML)



NUST and Precision Medicine Lab (PML) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on September 13, 2021, to facilitate PML in acquiring the human resource from NUST.

General Manager Placements (NUST) Ms Arooba Gillani and Business Development Manager (PML) Mr Shahram Khan signed the MoA during a ceremony at NUST. Director I&C Mr Muhammad Anwar Fareid and Principal Investigator (PML) Dr Faisal Khan graced the event with their presence.

Both sides agreed to work together on joint research projects that would help in resolving the key issues of industry and improving industrial efficiency. Both sides would offer jobs for NUST graduates, as and when relevant vacancies are created in/for the partner organisations, and NUST to facilitate the partner organisations in all recruitment related activities for NUST students and graduates, this would include on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, seminars, workshop, trainings, events, as well as providing support in finding a suitable candidate by providing graduate profiles of the students.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Shahram Khan said that strong industry-academia linkages were very important to provide jobs and internship opportunities for students and graduates to get hands-on experience in their respect fields. The government will offer more and more opportunities to the graduates and engage youth to bring a positive change in the overall workings of the government and private sector not only in Pakistan but all over the world.

General Manager Placements Ms Arooba Gillani said that NUST puts great emphasis in grooming its students with prime focus to prepare them as the premium choice for the employers. She emphasised that NUST graduates are equipped with all the skills necessary to serve in any part of the world and make positive contributions. Speaking at the event, Director I&C Mr. Muhammad Anwar Fareid congratulated both the parties on signing of this agreement and invited officers from PML to visit other departments of NUST to further enhance and strengthen the bond. He commemorated the event by presenting souvenirs to the visiting officers of PML.
