Orientation Ceremony: NUST Young Students Engagement Program 2025 (NYSEP)

With the aim of empowering future leaders and innovators, NUST kick-started its highly anticipated NUST Young Students Engagement Program (NYSEP) with an Orientation Ceremony on June 24, 2025 at the Jinnah Auditorium. Designed to ignite ambition among bright young minds, NYSEP offers early exposure to the vibrant world of university life, bridging the gap between school and higher education through immersive academic and leadership experiences.

The event opened with the arrival of guests, followed by a Quranic recitation and a rendition of the National Anthem, setting a dignified tone. A compelling NUST Documentary Video showcased the university’s legacy of academic excellence, research leadership, and global outreach. The highlight of the ceremony was the address by Chief Guest, Pro Rector RIC, Dr Rizwan Riaz. In his speech, Dr Rizwan Riaz underscored the strategic importance of engaging students at a young age, calling NYSEP “a vital nation-building initiative that fosters confidence, vision, and purpose.” He emphasized that such early exposure helps students visualize their future in higher education and motivates them to dream big and serve the nation with passion. Adding to the inspiration, Head of Placements, Ms Maryam Akmal provided a brief overview of the program and encouraged students to embrace the journey ahead with discipline, curiosity and a growth mindset.

Through NYSEP, NUST reaffirms its commitment to educational transformation and youth empowerment, offering a platform where aspirations take root and future changemakers begin their journey.
